The Monkey Lounge is a small local independently run bar, bringing you good food, good drinks and always good vibes! Our mission is to create a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere where you can spend away your hours with friends & family, having great conversations, whilst indulging in some delicious food and drinks. With a mouth-watering menu of delightful gourmet burgers, as well as fresh pasta daily, weekly offers on our cocktails and a great selection of draught beers. We love Coffee, and so our trained Baristas create the perfect Lattes/Cappuccinos and Expressos, using only the finest 200 Degree, smooth coffee blend. Our bar also boasts 4 Large TV screens showing sports daily, Monkey Lounge truly is the perfect place to relax and unwind! We are fortunate to be situated close to the Reading University campus and so to support the student community, we offer a 15% discount across our entire food/drinks menus.
With ample seating inside & outside, we strive to give our customers the best hospitality experience. We create refreshing cocktails & coffees, offer an extensive range of draught beers and freshly cooked food is served daily, the Monkey Lounge is the perfect setting for a chilled afternoon or evening. When the weather gets cold we even have some sides we can add to bring the outside inside.
There are some great DJs about and so Monkey Lounge wants to be known as Reading’s home for DJ talent, we have a vision to make Friday & Saturday nights fun again, and so are always on the lookout for talented local DJs that want to be invited to play at one of Monkey Lounge’s popular DJ nights!
